So today is thursday which in a typical week would be my day off. But not today. This week was special in that I had Monday and Tuesday off and will also get Saturday off. So its only fair that I have to come in on my day off. Still though, you get into a routine and when you have to come in on a day you normally get to relax on it messes with your head. Its a good thing though because I need to write final exams. I have a student leaving early so she has to take her exam this Saturday. If I were at home I know I wouldn't write it...
I will be joining the ranks of the uber geek or the super awesome depending on your affiliations by purchasing my first iphone today. I've been using a black berry for the better part of 7 months now and I have to tell you it is consistently frustrating. How is it that the cheap phone I bought in walmart was more technically sound and less fragile? Anyways, I have the macbook pro and the ipad its time to complete the set!
I had to fight homesickness real bad the other day, I think all the talk of going back soon is getting my mind rolling and I'm thinking about it too much. I remember this happened at L'Abri as well. The last few weeks I was just ready to go. Its not quite the same scenario but I am thinking really hard about Mexican food, playing football, seeing my family and friends, getting out of Asian culture for a while, experiencing clean air, driving a car, fast internet, no traffic, and sleeping in a real bed. I do know that I will definitely miss living on my own and the freedom that allows, my motorcycle, the food, and how cheap everything is here.
