Blessed be

Its Saturday! This year Saturdays are not being taken for granted.. I crave my days off.
So yesterday around 11am we received word that there would be unrest in the city as there were calls for mass protests against the current president of Indonesia. There were to be rallies of at least 3000 along the road parallel to our school. So taking into account that this is a Christian school and that these protests can often get out of hand we canceled the remainder of school. The problem for me was that the way I normally get home is to drive right past where the protest would be. That would not be safe for a bule by any means. So I took an alternate route and arrived home safe and sound. And as it turned out it began to pour down rain cancelling the demonstrations. I don't know if they will be postponed or what.

Tonight all the elementary teachers are meeting for dinner in GI which should be fun.
