Getting a massage in Jakarta

As a western male getting a massage is a bit weird.. I don't like strangers touching me in general so to have a complete stranger give me a massage takes a bit of gumption. I've had a couple awkward moments in the few previous times that I have gone. So yesterday I was sitting around my apartment and my neck was really stiff so I decided to go to the nearby mall to get a massage. It looked professional and nice and was somewhat expensive so I figured it would be okay (around 15 dollars).
Half way through the massage the woman (and I use the word woman as she was easily 60 years old) asked me if I wanted a "special" massage.... It doesn't matter how nice of a place you go to in Jakarta, it doesn't matter how nice the people seem, it doesn't matter how clear you make your intentions, they always assume that white men want "a little extra".
