Wednesday's freedom

I love wednesdays, I only have one class to teach and then I have Thursdays off so I can actually relax. I met up with my Australian friends I met over the holidays and we went to a expat hangout. Played pool and ate steak over a glass of beer. I hardly noticed but I haven't met or spoken to anyone else from the west since I've been here so its really nice to have good discussions and to talk about politics and history. For those of you who don't know the Indonesians are known for their "nothing talk" which means they don't really ever talk about anything other than the most basic topics so as to never offend. Westerners like to offend if only just a little. So to have a laugh making fun of each others nations and stereotypes has been great.
