On wednesday morning I found out that I had to move out of my apartment on thursday. So not a lot of warning. There was some confusion with my rent and my employer didn't pay on time so I was out and someone filled my place before we could do anything about it. So I moved into a new apartment further down the road which is fine but not as comfortable as my last place. The two things about it that are the toughest are that my new place doesn't get the American Sports Network, meaning no more football. I can't emphasize enough what a blow that is. Getting to watch football has been so great and made being so far from home that much easier. The other thing that is rough is that my new place is within earshot of the local mosque which means at around 3:30 every morning I am awake. But there is good news, I will be able to move back into my old place in give or take a month so this is only temporary and to show their gratitude for my flexibility and as compensation for the mishap I am getting a free trip to Bali for new years! So don't feel too sorry for me.
I still working hard and putting in the hours to make class interesting for the students and to make sure they comprehend the material but I'm still struggling with their names. I am making progress with the language though. I just decided that I had to pursue it myself and take time every day to review and learn some new words.
Still amazes me sometimes to think of where I am right now. Can't completely grasp it yet.
