Adventures in the real Indonesia

So this last Saturday I went out with some friends I met here in Jakarta. They took me to some of the sites in Jakarta, like one of the famous parks and monuments as well as some old Dutch colonial buildings. Then we went to where they live in Depok which is south of Jakarta. I got to see what people really live like here and it made me appreciate working indonesians even more. I slept at my friends grandparents house on a mat over a tile floor. But I ate well and met the whooole family who were friendly and interesting. It was really fun to see how most people live their daily lives. I'm really behind on my grading now but otherwise things are great.
