Eid al-Adah

So because of the Islamic holiday of sacrifice we got Wednesday off which was great because I already get Thursdays off. So Wednesday morning at 5am a group of us headed down to the bottom of Java to go white water rafting. It took about 3-4 hours to get there and it was really interesting to see the non city version of Indonesia. There were sheep tied up along the road everywhere we went all waiting to be sacrificed. We rafted for 17 km and it was an absolute blast. The trip back to Jakarta however took almost 5 hours as everyone was trying to get back into the city at the same time. I went to bed absolutely exhausted at around 8.
I didn't do much on Thursday aside from ride my motorcycle around. I finally got a helmet and am ready to take on the roads. Such a simple joy to ride around. I did go with Tim and his cousin Andrew to G.I. to go to an all you can eat steakhouse. It was a Japanese restaurant where they have the chef cook everything right in front of you. Gotta love Asian service.

After school on Friday I just strapped on my helmet and went riding around and thankfully found my way back to the apartment. Loving the bike!
