Half hearted day

I am not fully invested in this day to be honest. I have tomorrow off and I only have two quizzes to give today so I really have yet to show up mentally to work.

I had a meeting with the parents of some students yesterday to work out some difficulties we have been having with their children which is always a difficult process. To greater complicate the issue were the fact that one of the parents was a teacher and another was the administrator of another school. Taking control of a meeting when there are multiple strong personalities in the room can be very difficult to say the least but I was able to manage. Hopefully we will see some fruit from the series of meeting we have had. I'm very tired of having to both deal with these situations and fight to prove that although I am as many as 20 years younger than some of my peers I am an equal.

On a completely unrelated note, the Dr Dre Beats headphones I bought in Bandung are amazing. Fact.

To pass the time here are some Indo to English words:

Hujan : rain,  Saya perlu : I need,  Makanan: to eat, Baik baik: I'm good, Apa kapar?: How are you?, jam berapa? what time...?, saya capek: I'm tired,  saya sakit sidikit: I'm a little sick, saya suka nasi goreng: I like fried rice (the most common Indo food), ya, bisa: yes, I can, tolong camu bisa beli: can you  please buy...? Baggus: good (in it's all good), and... tidak gawat : No big deal.
