Normality

Wherever you live you adapt to your surroundings. You get used to things and treat them as normalcy. However, when you move to the other side of the world what you had once assumed to be normalcy is often exposed as just cultural normalcy. There are far too many examples of this but one that I have just noticed is that I am fighting off a bit of upset stomach probably due to something I ate. I don't feel great but I am not in agony... I can still function and am at work right now but its not fun. Getting a bit of food poisoning over here is such a normality you just get used to it. I didn't really think much of it until a few minutes ago.

  1. I remember that feeling. I would always pop a few peptos and be on with the day. Something we just don't deal with here! I feel ya man! I hope you feel better! Im trying despratly not the think about the fact that if I had visited you I would be there right now. I miss you so much and can't wait for you to come home soon!!!
